The sensation of 'now' arises through consciousness, but I don't believe that either now or consciousness reside within a single sliver. You need a series of slivers to generate both.
- Now is a construct of that consciousness
- There is no Now independent of consciousness
- It's Now when consciousness comes to a standstill
- When consciousness 'moves', there cannot be a Now
- Now, as it is perceived, may be spread across a series of slivers
